Course Overview

Learn how to organize and design complex full-mouth rehabilitation cases involving crowns, bridges and selected implant-supported restorations using Exocad.

This hands-on course focuses on translating an approved clinical treatment plan into a cohesive digital design. Participants will work through record evaluation, virtual-patient organization, digital wax-up, smile design, occlusal considerations, restorative segmentation and the transition from provisional to definitive restorations.

The goal is to help participants develop a more organized and collaborative workflow for full-mouth cases in which function, esthetics and communication must remain aligned throughout treatment.

What You Will Learn

By the end of the course, participants should be able to:

• Identify the records required for a full-mouth rehabilitation design.

• Organize upper and lower scans, bite records, photographs and additional case files.

• Set up a complex crown-and-bridge case correctly in Exocad.

• Integrate clinical photographs into the digital smile-design process.

• Create a diagnostic digital wax-up based on the approved treatment plan.

• Translate clinician-approved tooth position and occlusal parameters into the digital design.

• Evaluate tooth proportions, midline, smile arc and restorative space.

• Use existing scans or approved provisional restorations to guide the final design.

• Plan individual crowns and bridges as part of one cohesive full-mouth design.

• Evaluate contacts, embrasures, insertion paths and occlusal relationships.

• Maintain consistency between the diagnostic design, provisionals and definitive restorations.

• Recognize design concerns that require additional discussion with the treating dentist.

• Communicate proposed changes clearly with the clinical and laboratory teams.

Complete digital files and clinical photographs must be submitted in advance. When available, include the approved treatment plan, bite records, provisional scans and any existing diagnostic design.
